Patricia is on the road again!

This time to raise awareness of the importance of the value of music  education.
 

Beginning on September 19th '08, at age 71, she will ride from her home town of Wahoo NE to Atlantic City NJ to represent Nebraska in the Ms. Senior America Pageant in October.

Patricia Wins Ms. Senior California Crown

On September 10th, 2006 Patricia, representing Santa Barbara and having prevailed in the regional contests, swept away both the panel of judges and the live audience with a flawless rendition of Chopin's familiar "Polonaise in A Flat" at the state competition held at the Rose Theater in Westminster California and was crowned

She will now represent the great state of California in the upcoming Ms. Senior America National Pageant to be held on November 9-11 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

During the summer of 2004 Patricia, at age 67, took time out of her busy schedule to bicycle across America to raise funds for the Patricia Starr Endowment at Santa Barbara Community College.

This endowment provides scholarship grants to deserving music students. It was a long and arduous undertaking that involved cycling as much as 120 miles per day for 50 days and covered a total of 3,622 miles.

In addition to being an accomplished concert pianist, with recent performances in venues like Las Vegas & Laughlin Nevada, and     Beverly Hills,

 

Patricia also plays trombone and, as a solo pianist, recently performed the Warsaw  Concerto for piano and full concert band with Santa Barbara's own..

 Ms. Senior Orange County

    In 2005 Patricia won the title of Ms. Senior Orange County in the  Ms. Sr. America Pageant.

 She also was second runner up in the state contest for Ms. Sr. California.
