Hi every one,

Today was a good riding day. I never realized that Michigan was so much farm land.--It seems like we Californians hear most about Detroit and not the fact that there is so much beautiful farm country here. 

We rode 50 miles today on country roads before we even came upon a little grocery store. I don't know where the farmers get their gas because I did not see a single gas station the whole time. In fact, the riding was the same yesterday--I guess they have it figured out as all the farms appear to be successful. 

After yesterday's 40 miles of riding in the rain, I was very happy to have sunshine today but we were lucky because it was not hot.

I got in by 1:30 so I was pretty proud of myself. I even beat Gabriel!! That's pretty good for 75 miles.

We left about 7:15--we have just crossed into a new time zone so it's dark in the early mornings now and we can't leave before sun up.  I have an 89 mile day tomorrow so I will be up at 5:00a.m. again so I better get to bed even though it is still light out--it's 9 p.m.  I had an interview by phone with the Saginaw Newsstand their photographer, Jeff Schrier, came out and took pictures of me and my bike so we should make the Saginaw news here tomorrow.
