Cheers to all,

This was an exciting day right from the beginning--first of all didn't get up until 6:45 which was a real treat--we couldn't get across the bridge  to Canada until 8:15 so we left here in a convoy at 8:05.

This was the first time all of us have ridden together and we all had on our ABB jerseys so it was pretty impressive as there are at least 45 of us and four vans as Gabriel went across the border with us too--he usually doesn't catch me until noon or after but I surely didn't want him to get held up in customs or anything like that.

They closed the bridge for us this morning so we could all ride across in a group. That was really awesome to be on that big bridge all by ourselves and not have to worry about traffic

We all got through customs smoothly and it started to sprinkle on us but that was all it did so we lucked out again with the weather.

We rode through more beautiful farm land that was very much like Michigan--a little rugged and pretty much uninhabited except for occasional farmhouses.

The other thing I noticed was that most of the houses are either beige and brown or brown and beige--I think they must only have two colors of bricks to choose from. All of a sudden we saw an exception to the rule and found a house and garden that looked like California. They had the most beautiful flowers everywhere including a mailbox that was completely covered with orange impatiens--it was so gorgeous.

The owners invited us in to see their backyard and their business which is making and marketing artificial flowers and plants--really nice people and they love to make things beautiful just as Gabriel and I do.

We rode almost 80 miles today so an "easier" day but with our late start because of the crossing into Canada, it seemed like a long day but I made it!! Have now ridden 2,945 miles--seems like an unreal number

Bye for now,

Love, Patricia
