Comments from Patricia What a day--it was raining when we started--then we climbed up for 13 1/2 miles--and I was in the lowest gear for two and a half hours--thought it was just me but at the SAG stop there were many others who were going WOW--of course just when you think you can't go another inch, you get to the top and we sailed down for 4 miles. Had three other climbs that weren't quite too severe but boy, was it cold--you could see your breath and then whizzing down at 30 mph it was cold. This was in the vicinity of Mt. Hood. the mountains are so spectacular with all their snow. Then we got to the Indian reservation Kaneeta and it was in the 90's so we had quite a day. Today one of the support vans wasn't put in park and rolled into a ravine while the staff member was taking a picture. Gabriel said he almost did the same thing by jumping out too fast.
